Dr. Bruce H. Jackson

Bruce is the founder of Attentional Leadership™ Institute—a training firm dedicated to helping individuals achieve peak performance. He wrote Finding Your Flow: How to Identify Your Flow Assets and Liabilities—the Keys to Peak Performance Every Day to increase awareness, clarify driving principles, and engage in strategic and focused change.

      

Dr. Bruce H. Jackson has dedicated his career to the development of individuals, teams, organizations, and communities that seek to maximize influence, leadership, and change.

Bruce has worked with colleges/universities, Fortune 500 companies, and non-profit institutions to develop and implement principles of performance, leadership, and change—for students, professionals, and public servants alike.

Bruce is the founder of Attentional Leadership™ Institute—a training firm dedicated to helping individuals achieve peak performance. He wrote Finding Your Flow: How to Identify Your Flow Assets and Liabilities—the Keys to Peak Performance Every Day to increase awareness, clarify driving principles, and engage in strategic and focused change.

Formerly with Korn Ferry/Hay Group, Dr. Jackson also directs the C. Charles Jackson Foundation—advancing leadership centers, programs, and research throughout the world to develop a new generation of influential leaders.

Bruce earned his doctorate in Human and Organizational Systems from Fielding Graduate University, where his research led to the development of “Attentional Leadership Theory™” (ALT).

Prior to achieving this distinction, he earned master’s degrees in Counseling Psychology (Boston University), Business Administration (University of Minnesota, Carlson School of Management), Organizational Development (Fielding Graduate University), and Public Administration (Harvard University, John F. Kennedy School of Government)—all of which provided a broad and deep understanding of human capacity building, leadership development, and organization effectiveness within diverse arenas.

Bruce, his wife Marta, and their three children currently live in Highland, Utah.

Robert F. Nelson, CAE

Robert Nelson, a Certified Association Executive, (CAE) and principal at Nelson Strategic Consulting (NSC), brings over a quarter-century of successful executive leadership experience, working with Boards and high-powered CEOs in a not-for-profit setting. Nelson brings hands-on experience guiding and facilitating the development of strategic solutions to complex organizational and global grand challenges for national as well as international organizations. He is adept at designing governance systems and an engaging Board trainer

As a former association chief executive officer for almost two decades, Nelson understands the importance of developing high performing boards and practical, strategic solutions that work within the culture of an organization and are aligned with the organization’s capacity potential. Robert’s core practice focuses on building high performance governance systems, and designing and facilitating strategy development think tanks and governance retreats for associations, charitable organizations, and intergovernmental organizations. His governance work often focuses on working with non-profit CEOs and Boards to create high performance, strategic thinking boards.

As a CEO, Nelson has successful turnaround experience and a track record developing and executing strategy that creates and sustains growth. As a strategist and facilitator, he has worked with the private sector and governments worldwide to design and facilitate think tanks to address grand challenges, develop issues management strategy and craft organizational strategy.

As a facilitator working in multi-cultural environments, Nelson skillfully uses a blend of logic, creative thinking, analytics and humor to engage participants in an out-of-the box thinking session (the think tank) that results in consensus around clearly defined strategic initiatives. He is an engaging Board trainer and uses many of these same techniques to design and conduct board leadership development retreats.

Nelson believes that the development of successful strategy begins with clearly defining the future state and getting the “right people on the bus at the right time.” It ends with succinct, clearly defined strategic initiatives that have success metrics and can be easily communicated to internal and external audiences.

He also understands that strategy execution is as important as strategy development. That begins with integrating the strategy into an operating plan and creating an environment permeated by strategic thinking at every level of the organization

Kevin Miller

 
Kevin R. Miller is a faculty member of Attentional Leadership™ Institute, founder and president of VisionBound International, and has been working to develop leaders, individuals, teams and organizations around the world for over 25 years. Dr. Stephen R. Covey said of him, “A unique combination of character, competence and enthusiasm has made Kevin an extraordinary teacher.”

As a former Army officer, he observed first hand the power of leadership as a “force multiplier.” He understands the need for strong leaders in today’s challenging world. He served as a company commander in the 7 in Europe and the United States. Added to his military service, in 1995 Kevin founded his own consulting company, VisionBound International, Inc. and has worked since then with public, private and education clients worldwide helping them improve leadership, communication, and customer service skills.

Kevin has combined his experience and content into the VisionBound Leadership Institute which provides a powerful and unique approach for developing leaders at all levels. Kevin’s clients represent a broad, cross section of industries including K-12 and higher education, federal, state and civic government, military, health-care, education, aerospace, oil and gas, automotive, retail and technology. He is also a successful keynote presenter and has presented to his energetic programs to audiences large and small.

Kevin has earned three M.S. degrees—one from Utah State University in secondary education, a second from Kansas State University in adult and continuing education, and a third from the Command and General Staff College in strategy and operations. He holds a B.S. in business management from Brigham Young University.

Kevin and his wife, Denise, live in Springville, Utah. They have four children and six grandchildren. Kevin likes to travel and enjoys gardening, traveling and many other activities.

Marina von Bergen, MA, ACC

 
Marina’s clients benefit from her decades of consulting, leadership coaching, and communications experience. Her expertise lies in helping global leaders understand the positive impact that strong communication skills have in the global workplace, and then coaching them in their own communication behaviors and emotional intelligence to then reach the next level in their successful careers.

At the organizational level, Marina works with clients to assess and then improve in the three areas she considers having significant impact on organizational communication effectiveness: inter-cultural challenges, inter-generational dynamics, and virtual / global team collaboration.

Having lived and traveled extensively abroad and speaking three languages, Marina’s global experience helps bring an inclusive, collaborative perspective to all of her client work. And as an ICF accredited coach, a Marshall Goldsmith Stakeholder Centered coach, certified EQ-i 2.0 and 360, and a Prosci Change Management practitioner with a Masters degree in Global Workforce Collaboration, she has the experience, tools and skills needed to help her clients transcend to the next levels in their professions.

Darcy Stivland – SPHR, SHRM – SCP

 
As a certified executive coach and assessment interpreter, Darcy is passionate about partnering with executives to leverage their strengths, heighten emotional intelligence, and to attain abundant business and personal success.

Darcy has served in executive roles in healthcare, finance, and service industries. She serves as Co-President, Minnesota HR Executive Forum. In addition, she is certified to interpret a range of leadership development and selection assessments, including top requested Hogan Leadership Series and EQi 2.0. Darcy is member of the International Coach Federation (ICF), a frequent visitor to the College of Executive Coaching, a certified Senior Professional of Human Resources (SPHR), and is currently poised to be among the first executive coaches to earn the new Healthcare and Physician Wellbeing Certified Coach credential from the National Board of Medical Examiners.

Darcy has made a career of creating new leadership and organizational development strategies. She enables the growth of others through an upbeat, transparent and collaborative approach.

Darcy is an avid traveler, horse owner, wife and mother of three young adults.

Pablo Luchsinger

Pablo luchsinger has over 20 years of professional experience with a unique combination of being a Subject Matter Expert Consultant, Corporate Leader at a Fortune 500 company, and Professor in academia.

Pablo’s diverse roles encompass Compensation & Benefits Consultant for Mercer, Sales Excellence LATAM Manager for 3M, and a faculty member at Universidad Católica Andrés Bello (UCAB). As a management consultant, Pablo advises organizations of all sizes and industries globally in 3 main areas:

  1. Human Capital Strategic Planning
  2. Leadership Development & Coaching Programs
  3. Sales Excellence Process – Design and implementation

Grounded in the belief that he is doing what he is meant to do, Pablo is committed to every participant and their success. Having lived and worked in several countries, Pablo understands the vast cultural diversities and socioeconomics differences among individuals and multinational organizations. His vast experience allows him to asess his audience and tailor his charismatic approach to their learning experience. Pablo is effective at a holistic level while drawing personal engagement from everyone–regardless of seniority, background, cultural dynamics, and personal strengths or areas needing growth.

Growing up in a multicultural family of seven (mother from Boston, father from Madrid, and raised between these two cultures in his native Venezuela) prepared Pablo for dynamic engagement amoung people and cultures. Pablo has extensive experience working with leaders and managing projects in the USA, Singapore, Taiwan, Phillippines, Spain, Netherlands, and throughout Latin America. The outcome of his leaderhsip style and his unique human connections cultivate in-depth interactions leading his clients to self-discovery while supporting meaningful long-term relationships.

Pablo earned a Bachelor of Labor Relations and has studied for a Master of Business Economics at Universidad Católica Andrés Bello in Venezuela. He and his life partner Marina, and children Martin and Bianco, are residents of St. Paul, Minnesota since 2011.
